The Commercial Committee at the Riyadh Chamber has affirmed that commercial concealment is one of the most significant challenges affecting market efficiency and competitiveness. It also limits the ability of national enterprises and entrepreneurs to grow within a business environment founded on fairness, transparency and equal opportunities.
The committee explained that commercial concealment remains an issue requiring continued support for efforts aimed at strengthening compliance and embedding the principles of transparency and fair competition. It noted that its consequences extend beyond violations of laws and regulations to undermining legitimate competition, distorting the business environment and weakening the growth and expansion prospects of compliant enterprises.
The committee also commended the efforts of the relevant authorities to combat commercial concealment, develop the regulatory environment and strengthen compliance and oversight mechanisms. It stressed that the success of these efforts requires an integrated partnership between government entities and the business sector, based on awareness, commitment and shared responsibility.
Such cooperation would enhance market integrity, reinforce the principles of fair competition and help create a more efficient, attractive and sustainable investment environment.
Turki Al-Ajlan, Board Member and Chairman of the Commercial Committee at the Riyadh Chamber, affirmed that the committee would continue its role in raising awareness of issues affecting the business environment and promoting dialogue on the challenges facing national enterprises.
He added that these efforts support market development, contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s economic development objectives, raise compliance levels and improve the business environment, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030
