Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center Discusses Possibility of Creating Environment to Host World Events

The Board of directors of the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center held the first meeting in its second session under the Center’s Chairman of the board, board member of the Riyadh Chamber, Engineer Bandar bin Abdullah Al Humaidhi, where Engineer Abdullah Bin Omran Al Omran, CEO of the Centre reviewed the Centre's facilities, program of events and the annual report for 2012. The Board also discussed its tasks, priorities, outstanding projects, and exhibition and convention industry – related topics.

In addition, the Board studied the possibility of creating a the expedient environment to set up world events for the benefit of the national economy through pumping more investment into this sector by international exhibitors and organizers, addressing the various constraints faced by the Center so as to achieve the aspirations of the Board including leading exhibition and convention industry in the Kingdom through differentiated services, transferring the increasing know-how in this growing industry to the Kingdom, and bringing in competent national  professionals capable of increasing the use of this industry for the benefit of the national economy.
