HE Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Taufiq bin Fozan Al-Rabi'ah will patronize the ceremony that would be held by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Monday evening, 25 Feb. 2013 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in honor of the former chairman of the Chamber, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Jeraisy, Board members and heads of major committees of the 15th session, and in recognition of the effort exerted for the advancement of Riyadh’s business sector in the service of the national economy and strengthening the implementation of economic development programs and social development. For his part, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Zamil, Board Chairman of the Chamber, expressed his thanks to and appreciation for Mr. Al-Jeraisy, all board members, heads and members of the committees for their hard effort in promoting the interests of business sector and constructive cooperation with the public sector to improve the working environment. Mr. Al-Zamil hoped that those national and honest figures will continue, with their expertise and professionality, to interact with issues of the private sector and national economy under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and HRH Crown Prince, may Allah preserve them.
For his part, Mr. Hussein bin Abdulrahman Al-Athel, Secretary-General of the Chamber, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the effort made by the former Chairman and Board members, particularly Mr. Al-Jeraisy who assumed the responsibility in administering the Board’s functions and serving the business sector with absolute seriousness and sincerity, stressing that the General Secretariat will continue to be the supporting arm to the new Board so as the Chamber, as being the largest at both the Saudi and GCC levels as it now includes more than one hundred thousand members, could continue its march to achieve a quantum leap in performance for the advancement of business environment of the private sector and enable businesspersons in the region to move towards wider horizons to promote commercial industrial and investment activities in various sectors and areas.
