Speakers in the introductory session about King Abdulaziz Quality Award hosted by the RCCI stressed that the objective of the Award is to encourage companies in various sectors to raise their performance, increase the quality of their products and services and reduce product cost so as they will be able to compete with foreign companies. Engineer Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mojel, RCCI Vice Chairman, suggested to add a fourth category for companies with capital in excess of SR 500 Million to King Abdulaziz Quality Award. The governor of the Saudi Standards - Metrology and Quality Organization, director general of the Award Nabil Mulla said in a speech delivered in the session that the Award will contribute to laying the foundation for continued development, achievement and improvement and creating a healthy competitive environment in all sectors.
