The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obeikan, received H.E. the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdulmohsen bin Saad Al-Khalaf, at the Chamber’s headquarters. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the Chamber and the Ministry of Finance in a manner that supports and empowers the private sector and enhances its contribution to economic development, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
The meeting also addressed several topics of mutual interest, focusing on strengthening integration between the public and private sectors in line with the objectives of economic development and efforts to enhance the business environment in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, H.E. the Deputy Minister of Finance was briefed on the components of the Chamber’s Center of Excellence and Economic Foresight, which serves as a knowledge arm aimed at supporting economic decision-making for the private sector through data-driven analysis and forward-looking insights into future economic trends.
The presentation highlighted the center’s specialized labs, including the Public Policy Lab, the Economic Foresight Lab for analyzing future economic trends, the Productivity and Competitiveness Lab to support the development and efficiency of enterprises, and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Compliance Lab, which aims to promote sustainability and reduce risks for businesses.
Both sides also discussed avenues for cooperation in the field of economic data to support the center’s work, and agreed to form a joint working team to follow up on a number of files of mutual interest.
