Riyadh Chamber's Board Approves the Establishment of the Renewable Energy Committee

​The Board of Riyadh Chamber, chaired by Engr. Ahmed Al Rajhi, approved the establishment of the Renewable Energy Committee in the light of a proposal presented by the Board member Mr. Abdullah Al Fahad Al-Ajlan at the last meeting of the board. The approval of establishing this committee represents the Chamber's role in supporting businesses and projects as well as in contributing to the achievement of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 an​d its aspirations in general including the preparation for launching the King Salman Renewable Energy Initiative. In addition, the Committee would support and organize development projects and spread its culture among businessmen and businesswomen. Mr. Al-Ajlan said that the Committee's objectives would include satisfying the need to gather investors in the renewable energy sector, provide them with the opportunity to meet with officials and entities related to the sector, overcome the obstacles facing them, attract new local investors and international companies, contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision, enhance studies and research, coordinate between the private enterprises wishing to invest in the sector with the relevant government agencies, and spread the culture and importance of renewable energy through specialized seminars.
