Upon HM's Meeting with Saudi Businesspersons at the Premises of Riyadh Chamber, King of Spain: "We are Keen on Strengthening the Economic and Historical Ties with Saudi Arabia" Confirming that "Our Investment Ties are Good"

​His Majesty King Felipe VI, King of Spain, and his accompanying delegation visiting the kingdom have been received on Monday morning 16 Jan 2017 at the premises of Riyadh Chamber by Engr. Ahmad Suleiman Al-Rajhi, Board Chairman of Riyadh Chamber, members of the board and a number of Saudi businesspersons and investors. HM the King emphasized His country's keenness on developing investment, trade and economic relations with Saudi Arabia, noting that Spain ranks third among the top European countries importing from Saudi Arabia. State Minister of Trade and Minister of Public Works confirmed their country's willingness to achieve further economic and trade cooperation and make use of those promising investment opportunities in the Saudi economy. For his part, Engr. Al-Rajhi expressed his confidence that HM King Felipe VI's visit will give a strong boost to the friendly historical relations dating back to more than six decades. For investment, he valued high the active contribution of Spanish investors in the Saudi economy for years in oil refineries and petrochemical industries in collaboration with Aramco and SABIC, in addition to their prominent contribution in mega projects such as Alharamain Train and Riyadh Metro beside desalination projects.
