The Riyadh Chamber, represented by the Health Sector Committee and in cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, organized a workshop titled “Explanation and Clarification of Import, Export, and Free Sale Procedures” at its headquarters, with the attendance of a number of specialists and interested participants.
The workshop covered several key topics, including an overview of import and export procedures for food products and free sale requirements, clarification of mechanisms and requirements for drug import permits, procedures for the clearance of medical devices and supplies along with related updates, and the requirements for importing chemical substances following the issuance of the executive regulations for the Chemical Management System.
The workshop targeted specialists in the private sector across the Authority’s areas of work, which include pharmaceuticals, feed, chemicals, food, laboratories, and medical devices and products, with the aim of ensuring smooth business operations and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
