First: Steps and procedures followed to obtain a Certificate of Origin: It is understood that the Ministry of Commerce issues Certificates of Origin; therefore, the exporter will submit his request to the Certificates of Origin Office at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce or at any Ministry of Commerce's branches in the Kingdom. Forms for each type of certificates are available and include the required information for each certificate. To facilitate the issue for the exporters, procedures and documents needed are printed on each form. The types of certificates are: 1- Certificates of Origin for national products exported to GCC countries (Certificates of Origin for Industrial Products - Certificates of Origin for Agricultural and Animal Products - Certificates of Origin for Natural Resources). 2- Certificate of Origin for national products exported to Arab countries, which comprises one form for all Arab products in accordance with the Commercial Exchange Facilitation Agreement signed by the Arab countries. 3- Certificate of Origin for national products exported to foreign countries (in Arabic and English). 4- Certificate of Origin for national products exported to foreign countries granting the system of preferences. To obtain a Certificate of Origin, kindly visit the Certificate of Origin Office or the Information Center at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh or at any Ministry of Commerce branches in the Kingdom. Second: In order that a national factory products exported to the GCC countries may benefit from customs exemption, it must obtain a qualification certificate from the Secretary General of the GCC countries provided that all data registered in the Certificate of Origin request should conform with that of the qualification form.
